Blepharoplasty
(eyejob/eyelid tuck)
Blepharoplasty
(eyejob/eyelid tuck) is a procedure used to give a youthful appearance
to the face by increasing the size of the visible eye. This is
done by removing excess skin, excess fat or repositioning the
fat under the eyelids. The skin of the lower eyelid can be improved
by laser or a chemical peel.
Approaches:
The upper eyelid skin is excised along a natural skin crease that
maintains the natural look of the eye and hides the incision well.
The lower eyelid often can be addressed by entering through a tiny skin incision.
When the lower eyelid has excess fat
but normal skin tone, an incision can be made on the inner aspect
of the eyelid to remove the fat. This avoids an obvious scar on
the skin.
